This card speaks of a period of unusually high stress or feelings of exhaustion. The effects of stress/anxiety can be very hard on the body physically, causing feelings of exhaustion. Long term, unmanaged stress can lead to serious illness and even death. It is extremely important to manage stress when there are a lot of demands placed on you. Give your body the exercise, nutrition and rest it needs to do its job.
In this card; the man faces an uphill battle. He has taken on more than he can handle, and he continues on the same path which becomes increasingly more difficult. This card indicates the tendency to stick to the same path, even when it’s outgrown and no longer fruitful or fulfilling.
It can also point to a tendency to take on too much responsibility and not balance that with time/space to pursue your own interests and fulfill your own needs. You need to take some time to reestablish priorities and let go of some things that are no longer needed. Lighten your burden or face the long-term consequences.
In this card we see a man struggling uphill with a heavy burden he can no longer manage on his own. Spiritually, this card suggests a tendency to fight for a false sense of control, because you do not trust where you are being led, or because you have been conditioned that life requires a “fight” to succeed. This card suggests the need to let go of struggle and to put your faith in your higher power to guide you out of the burdens you are bearing.
