Tarot can help you reach your goals

As everyone who knows me is aware, I believe that Tarot symbolism is more than “divination” or a way to get quick answers.  Often the best answers I receive to a quandary come in just being open to the message of a certain card.

Every day I send out the Daily Tarot Reflection through Yahoo Groups – and it’s a great way to focus on a cards overall lessons and inspirations.  Sometimes though I may be struggling in a particular area and I find that Tarot can help me “mind map” my way to my own answers – it isn’t that it answers the question for me, but rather it gets me to open up to more of my own thought processes and to explore things I had not maybe fully considered before.

Today for example, I decided to do a quick focus on “what I need to be aware of to help me stay on track in regards to expanding my business”

The card I drew was the King of Swords

Kings of course speak of leadership and accountability.

Swords are the suit of action, taking charge and moving on your ideas/goals rather than just merely planning or thinking about them etc.

This particular Knight can indicate a need to “cut away” something that is holding you back

It can also speak of the need for streamlining processes and efficiency which come through organization.

I sat looking at the 3 piles of papers on my desk, the schoolwork on the chair next to me, and the multiple open tabs on my computer.

This led me to ponder my chronic need to “multi-task” and how it may actually be sabotaging my best intentions.  For today I decided to “sacrifice” this inner urging to multi-task and to instead focus on one goal at a time.  I made a quick “stuff I need to get done” list and prioritized it by what is most pressing.  I then set about doing the things on my list ONE at a time – and I have found (as I have previously actually) that I have accomplished much more today and at an earlier hour by doing this.  There is no pressure to do too much – because I am only allowed to do one thing at a time – and with that ease in pressure I have become much more efficient and productive.

So today I am thankful for the reminder/lesson from my personal card of the day ;) I am now on target to get everything done today with ease and grace.  I woke up this morning fearing I could not get everything done and low and behold I am well on the way and it isn’t even noon yet.  Amazing how taking time to open up to our higher thought processes can make the rest of our day flow easier.

Upgraded website and a fresh start in general!

Well, it’s been ages since I have kept up with this blog and I humbly apologize for that.  I have been going back to school to earn my degree and working and being a mom etc. and well now I am back and looking to breathe new life again into Spiritual Guidance Tarot.  Isn’t it funny how sometimes in life when you do things to help you grow it leads you right back to where you started – I feel that I have a karmic tie with this site and although I am undertaking other web design and writing projects now as well – I feel a really deep need to make this site and blog all that it deserves to be.

I apologize for the long hiatus! If you haven’t seen the website upgrade stop by the homepage today and check it out! Everything is renewed and refreshed – spiffed up, spell checked, updated and the new design I feel is very peaceful and lovely.  It features the butterfly – a sign of “growing wings” metamorphosis and learning to fly – the last several years of my life I have been in the process of a glorious transformation :)

I look forward to spreading my wings here again!

Love

Christin
