Tarot Lesson: The High Priestess
Tarot Interpretations of the Priestess
**If you did not read the previous post/lesson on Starting a Tarot Journal you need to do that now before starting/continuing with the individual card lessons! You can view it Here.
Over time we will have journal entries/lessons for each of the 78 cards. Pull the corresponding card from your deck to use for each of the individual lessons.

For the purposes of these lessons I am using a Waite deck, but the beauty to learning Tarot this way is that you can use a journal for any deck you wish and you will learn it properly! Not by memorizing a bunch of definitions, but by actually connecting with your own cards.
Below is a series of questions for you to consider for each card. By answering the questions in your journal you will be telling your own story… Below the series of questions are my thoughts/interpretations of the cards…. PLEASE do your own journal entry first - so that they are your own unique answers! Trust me it works better that way

My Journal Entry
(reminder I used the Universal Waite deck for mine)
The first thing I notice when I look at the priestess card are the controlled look on the woman’s face. The Tora on her lap and the moon at her feet. This card has a regal yet serene feeling to me. The black and white pillars to her sides represent opposition or polarity and she sits firmly planted in between so she is well-balanced and turns to her wisdom to remain objective. The moon at her feet indicates control over her emotions and understanding of her subconscious. The blue cloak around her shoulders to me indicates spiritual wisdom, serenity and perhaps even a bit of a somber or more serious tone to her. The white gown and crown symbolize purity and connection with her source. This card to me represents turning to our inner world/guidance and relying on our faith/wisdom to guide us rather than being pulled by polarities or outer influences.
